At the Sustainable Campus Collaborative quarterly meetings institutional Facilities and Sustainability leaders meet to network and learn from each other and experts. In this meeting, Scott Hendershot, Senior Manager Sustainability, University of Toronto will present an overview of University of Toronto's approach to sustainability, the Campus Climate Positive Plan and Project Leap. Project Leap is a landmark $138mm project to reduce emissions by 50% by reducing the use of natural gas to heat and cool buildings through deep energy retrofits of strategic buildings, electrification of boilers and the installation of an innovative geoexchange system under Front Campus.
